The Case Concerning...

The 2021 Jessup Problem will concern a global pandemic, and the obligations and responses of Sates with respect to the outbreak. It will also involve questions of the jurisdiction of the Court, a desperate claim for political asylum by an alledged rogue scientist, and State responsibility for a suspiciuos aircraft explosion.

Competition Rules

All competing teams are expected to be familiar with the the Official Rules of the 2021 Jessup Competition, which will be released in August 2020. 

In the meantime, you may use as referece the 2020 Official Rules.

In addition, an Italian Rules Supplement to the 2020 Official Rules has been approved by the ILSA Executive Director to facilitate the conduct of the Italian National Rounds. It clarifies and, wherever necessary, completes the Official Rules of the Competition. It will be updated shortly after the publication of the 2021 Official Rules.
