The Case Concerning...

The 2021 Jessup Problem will concern a global pandemic, and the obligations and responses of Sates with respect to the outbreak. It will also involve questions of the jurisdiction of the Court, a desperate claim for political asylum by an alledged rogue scientist, and State responsibility for a suspiciuos aircraft explosion.

Competition Rules

All competing teams are expected to be familiar with the the Official Rules of the 2021 Jessup Competition.

In particular, given the peculiarity of the 2021 Global Competition, it is key that all teams will be familiar with the procedure for online rounds and related penalties.

Subject to the organisation of Italian friendly rounds, an Italian Supplement to the 2021 Official Rules will be prepared to facilitate the conduct of the Italian National Rounds.
